Eliminating the laggy iPhone XS finally!

Recently, a number of employees working in retail stores around the globe have complained they’ve encountered problems in their work because of the slow iPhone XS and many had to switch phones several times to get the job completed.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman broke out the details in a Tweet.

“Apple Retail stores are expected to be changing points of sale software (called Isaacs) from old iPhone Xs to iPhone 14s. This will not affect customers, but it will simplify the process for retail workers who have to switch the old iPhones out numerous times per day.”

The tweet thread was filled with Apple retail employees admitting that they had encountered issues with the previous iPhone XS and an upgrade was awaited for a long time.

One user with the name Blake Deluca replied to Gurman that the main reason behind replacing the old iPhone XS by the brand new iPhone 14 for employees in stores is Apple’s latest Tap to Pay feature which is now integrated into the iPhone.

This will benefit employees tremendously as they no longer need to carry a reader for credit cards attached to an iPhone constantly to take payments from buyers in the shop.

iPhone XS was released around five years ago, in the year of 2018. This was an incremental improvement from iPhone X, which is famous as the iPhone with its famous design as well as it introduced Face ID for the first time on an iPhone.

Additionally, iOS 17 is the iOS update that the iPhone XS will receive and it is anticipated for the iPhone XS will not be included in the list of devices that are compatible in the event that it comes time for the following iOS update comes out.

However, Gurman has not yet stated when he will Apple will replace the old iPhone XS with the new iPhone 14. However, it is anticipated that the change could be a bit long and apply to every Apple Store employee around the world.
