Recently, a number of employees working in retail stores around the globe have complained they’ve encountered problems in their work because of the slow iPhone XS and many had to switch phones several times to get the job completed.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman broke out the details in a Tweet.
“Apple Retail stores are expected to be changing points of sale software (called Isaacs) from old iPhone Xs to iPhone 14s. This will not affect customers, but it will simplify the process for retail workers who have to switch the old iPhones out numerous times per day.”
The tweet thread was filled with Apple retail employees admitting that they had encountered issues with the previous iPhone XS and an upgrade was awaited for a long time.
One user with the name Blake Deluca replied to Gurman that the main reason behind replacing the old iPhone XS by the brand new iPhone 14 for employees in stores is Apple’s latest Tap to Pay feature which is now integrated into the iPhone.
This will benefit employees tremendously as they no longer need to carry a reader for credit cards attached to an iPhone constantly to take payments from buyers in the shop.
