Tesla Cybertruck and GMC Hummer EV are two big names hoping to subsidize on the fleetly- growing electric truck request. The EV request is not just about compact hatchbacks and luxury SUVs presently. Truck-suckers are getting a taste of the electric life as well.
Both these exchanges are top contenders in the high-end truck space, offering a mix of power, performance, ruggedness, and hi-tech technology. Plus some really relatively unique designs, indeed though the two could not look any further different from each other.

The GMC Hummer EV has an immediate advantage where release is concerned, with the Edition 1 truck arriving on the first guests ’ driveways in Fall 2021. Meanwhile, the first Cybertrucks, while firstly promising a veritably non-specific” late 2021″ due date, though was pushed back to” late 2022″ and again to eventually in 2023.
The strike is, of course, that the first-edition Hummer EV was vended out for months. But you can still reserve one of the after models, the EV2, EV2X, and EV3X, in either the Volley or SUV configuration.
Those models also have reduced power and range, though that’s reflected in the lower price label. The Pickup EV3X was the first of them to arrive, in Fall 2022. That gives Hummer another advantage over Tesla, considering the rearmost Cybertruck detention.

Indeed so, Tesla is the clear winner on the pricing front. The most precious interpretation of the Cybertruck, that we know of, was firstly set to bring costs$ 69,900, and that gets you a raised range over the lower- specced models, plus three- motor each- wheel drive.
Meanwhile, you can downgrade the auto to two-motor, all-wheel drive($ 49,900) or one-motor, hinder-wheel drive($ 39,900). Those prices are likely to change, given Tesla’s recent slew of price hikes on other models.
A quadrangle-motor Cybertruck is also on the way, per Elon Musk’s Twitter feed, but there is no information on pricing. No doubt it’ll bring further than the tri-motor model.
The top-of-the-range Hummer EV Edition 1, by the discrepancy, costs$ 105,595. The EV3X eases that burden down to just under$ 100,000, but reduces your range to 300 long hauls, while the EV2X costs just under$ 90,000 and only packs in two motors and a 300- afar range. At the bottom of the range is the EV2, which will bring$ 80,000 and has a 250- afar range. That won’t arrive until 2024, however, so we needn’t worry too important about it then.
Those prices are the same anyhow of whether you conclude for the Volley or SUV model.
The corollary of all this is that Tesla may have the advantage on the price front, but the Hummer is ahead of Tesla in terms of getting on the road( or off it). Especially now the Cybertruck has been delayed doubly.

The GMC Hummer EV is, without mistrustfulness, a classic Hummer design. It’s big, it’s wide, and there’s a lot of space outside. It’s a little bit more rounded than a traditional gas Hummer and has meetly futuristic LED headlamps.
Inside, there’s room to fit five people enough comfortably, plus a bunch of hi-tech features as you’d anticipate from an auto this precious. Among them are a13.4- inch touchscreen control panel and a12.3- inch hand cluster.
The Tesla Cybertruck is a different beast entirely, looking more like an asset from a ’90s- period cyberpunk game than any being truck — though that seems to be the point because Elon Musk is wacky like that. It’s flat, it’s angled, and it stands out. The ultimate is also true of the Hummer but for entirely different reasons.
The Cybertruck’s innards continue the theme, with the shape of the seats and gusto taking some cues from the outside of the auto. Naturally, the roof is angled too, because there’s only so important Tesla could have done to disguise that striking design choice.
Still, it has an air about it that just screams “ Tesla ”, complete with the servitude steering wheel and the giant touchscreen control panel. It looks enough commodious too, though nowhere near as important as the vast innards of the Hummer EV.
With that in mind, the Hummer looks to have the edge then. While some people may consider them big and offensive, that’s what they’re about. Hummer has just taken a design that formerly works for it, and acclimated it to fit the each- electric future, whereas the Tesla Cybertruck looks like a commodity that spawned in one of Elon Musk’s fever dreams

That quantum of power is not to be scented at either, because it’s still a lot — and potentially further than the lower-spec Hummer EV models, if those estimates are correct. But Hummer does have the edge on this front, as far as we know. It’s a big auto, and it’s got a plenitude of power behind it.
It’s also worth noting that the Hummer has a commodity called’ WTF Mode’, which stands for’ Watts to Freedom’. It’s basically a launch mode, akin to Tesla’s Ludicrous mode, for those times you want to test your auto’s acceleration. WTF mode lowers the truck by many elevations and sends the full force of the 1,000 power to the bus. It’s not clear whether Cybertruck will get Ludicrous mode, though we suspect Tesla might throw it in just in case it’s wanted.
So if you’re all about the figures, also the Hummer EV is the one to go with, at least until we get sanctioned numbers from Tesla.

Tesla Cybertruck vs GMC Hummer EV Battery and Range
The Hummer EV Edition 1 offers up to 350 long hauls of range, though the EV3X and EV2X drop that down to 300 long hauls and the EV2 to 250. That’s emotional compared to aged and budget EV models, however fairly average in the high-end EV request.
The Hummer’s real advantage is its charging system since it can handle up to 350 kW pets from a compatible DC bowl. Obviously, this is still early days for Hummer in the EV world, whereas Tesla has been in the EV and battery business for several times. It has a major headstart, and it’s easily putting that to good use.

Tesla Cybertruckvs. GMC Hummer EV Autonomous Driving
The GMC Hummer EV packs in General Motors ’ Super Cruise system, which offers position 2 independent driving technology. That still requires the motorist to pay attention to the road ahead, though the auto can handle limited acceleration and steering to ease the burden of driving. This system should also allow for automated lane changes.
There’s also implicit for Super Cruise to evolve into a position 3 independent system, which wouldn’t inescapably bear constant motorist attention. sorely, there’s no timeline as to when that might be.
Tesla’s Autopilot is, by dereliction, a position 2 system that includes independent voyage control and limited automated steering within easily pronounced lanes. Tesla also sells a “ Full tone- Driving Capability ” option, which costs a redundant$ 10,000, though this isn’t completely independent driving.
rather it includes automated lane changing, automated parking, business and stop sign control, as well as a “ summon ” point that lets you use your key or phone to navigate in and out of awkward parking spaces.

Like any vehicle of its size, the Hummer also comes with a decent-sized truck bed it’s five bases long, which while lower than some, but still gives you plenitude of space to store whatever it’s you need to store. Tesla also comes with one, though it manages to trump Hummer by offering one 6.5 bases long, and with an extendable ramp to charge.
Sure, a tailgate is useful, but if you’re transporting anything heavy the Cybertruck’s design means there is lower heavy lifting involved.
Still, the Hummer seems to be the true off-roader, with colorful different driving modes to help you get around when effects aren’t so steady under wheel.
That includes Crabwalk, which eases your truck in slant directions, Extra Mode which raises your suspense to get you out of tough spots and Ultravision, which uses 18 cameras to see what’s around you.
That includes a view of the underpart of your auto. Naturally, Hummer has assured its EV has underbody armor, four-wheel steering, and dynamic suspense because nature isn’t a smooth paved road. On top of that, there are transparent sky panels and a 14-speaker Bose audio system
Tesla, meanwhile, has been riveting on the continuity of the Cybertruck. In fact, when it was blazoned Elon Musk was proudly boasting about this; Tesla indeed went so far as to have someone hit the door with a sledgehammer to showcase it. Musk also gasconaded that the auto was bulletproof, and could block shots from a 9 mm handgun.
Unfortunately, the auto’s ‘ Armor Glass ’ didn’t stand up to scrutiny during the reveal event, when a thrown essence ball managed to crack two of the Cybertruck’s windows.

So, while Tesla may play up the versatility angle of the Cybertruck, Hummer has it beat when it comes to definitively stating what its truck is about. still, because there’s still a lot we don’t know about the Cybertruck, that could change.

While Tesla may appear to have the edge in a number of important orders, the Hummer also looks like coming out on top in certain respects. That reflects the fact that though they’ve some parallels, these two buses feel designed for veritably different people.
still, also Hummer is likely the more egregious choice for you, If you’re the kind of person who likes a big truck. also again, that’s not to say you won’t be interested in the Tesla too, especially if you enjoy a truck for further practical purposes, rather than as a fashion statement.
