Happy Father’s Day! Today June 19 is being celebrated as Father’s Day and Google has designed a special doodle for it which not only shows the relationship between fathers and their children but also tells that The role of a father in the life of children is as important as that of the mother.
Today’s Father’s Day Google Doodle shows a special animation in which two big hands and two small hands are visible. These hands represent the relationship between father and children at different stages of life.
The support of the hand is needed by a person throughout his life. Whether it is of spouse, family, or friends. But it is said that as long as the father’s hand is on the children and his family, the family or the children need not worry. All the worries and responsibilities are kept in the hands of the Father. Today Google is also saluting this role of the father and today’s Google Doodle is dedicated to those fathers.
In Father’s Day Google Doodle, you can see how big hands become the support of small hands in childhood. That is, how children learn to grow up with their fathers. Here children live their childhood to the fullest under both their mother’s love and father’s protection. In the doodle, this relationship has been described as a lifetime.
An image is also shown in the animation when the father becomes old and then his children become his support. First children hold the finger of the father and then in old age the father holds the finger of his children.
The relationship between father and children is unbreakable. However, we all know fathers that they are not able to express their love in the way that the mother expresses, but love is received equally from both. How and when did the beginning of making this day of fathers special, we also tell you today.
When and How did the Celebration of Father’s Day Begin?
Father’s Day, being celebrated today on June 19 started in 1910. It is said that Sonara Dodd, a girl living in America, started it. The legend about Sonara is prevalent that after the death of her mother, her father raised her and gave her the love of both mother and father.
Due to this, a thing arose in Sonara’s mind that if Mother’s Day can be celebrated for the mother, then Father’s Day should also be celebrated for the father. Since then the celebration of Father’s Day started.
It is said that Sonara’s father was born in June, so Sonara started celebrating it in June itself. In 1916, US President Woodrow Wilson accepted the proposal to celebrate Father’s Day but it was not recognized at the national level then.
In 1924, President Calvin Coolidge recognized Father’s Day nationally. After that in 1966, Lyndon Johnson announced to celebrate this day on the third Sunday of June. Since then, Father’s Day has been celebrated on the third Sunday of June.
