Lego celebrates Pleasure Month with shiny and colourful Everyone seems to be Superior LGBTQIA+ set

Lego’s Everyone seems to be Superior set consists of 11 minifigures and 346 items.

The long-lasting colours of the Pleasure flag are getting into the 3D realm with Lego’s new Everyone is Awesome set. The set’s title performs on the catchy Lego Movie music All the things is Superior, and it embraces the inclusive rainbow imagery of the LGBTQIA+ group.

The 346-piece set options 11 minifigures together with a show backdrop of colourful striped items. “I needed to create a mannequin that symbolizes inclusivity and celebrates everybody, irrespective of how they determine or who they love,” set designer Matthew Ashton said in a Lego Group statement on Thursday.

The minifigures every have distinctive hairstyles, and their items could be combined and matched or left monochrome. 

Lego is timing the discharge of the set for the beginning of Pleasure Month on June 1. The set will price $34.99 within the US, £30.99 within the UK and AU$59.99 in Australia.  

The Everyone seems to be Superior set is supposed to advertise variety and inclusion.

The company highlighted its internal diversity and inclusion efforts and partnerships with LGBTQIA+ advocacy organizations, together with Stonewall, Workplace Pride and Open for Business. Lego Group is an ongoing supporter of UK group Diversity Role Models, which “seeks to embed inclusion and empathy within the subsequent era.”

Ashton, Lego Group’s vice chairman of design, crafted a transferring personal statement about his motivations for creating Everyone seems to be Superior, which he says is for the group and likewise for allies. 

“Being LGBTQIA+ myself, I knew I wanted to step as much as the plate and make an actual assertion about love and inclusivity,” Ashton wrote, “and usually unfold some Lego like to all people who wants it.”
