US President Joe Biden on Thursday signed an government order increasing the variety of Chinese companies on the nation’s exclusion list due to alleged hyperlinks with China’s navy. The chief order prohibits “US investments in Chinese language corporations that undermine the safety or democratic values of america and our allies.”

There are 59 corporations on the record, together with know-how big Huawei, Hangzhou Hikvision, Aviation Trade Company, China Cellular, China Telecom, China Unicom, Panda Electronics, China Communications Building Group, China Electronics, China Aerospace, China Spacesat, Semiconductor Manufacturing Worldwide and Shaanxi Zhongtian Rocket Know-how.

“The administration won’t hesitate to stop US capital from flowing into the PRC’s protection and associated materiel sector, together with corporations that assist the PRC’s navy, intelligence and different safety analysis and growth packages; or into Chinese language corporations that develop or use Chinese language surveillance know-how to facilitate repression or severe human rights abuse,” the White Home stated in a press release.
