Mario games for the Nintendo Switch are on sale ahead of the ‘3D All-Stars’ release

TL;DR: As of Sept. 9, several Mario games for the Nintendo Switch are on sale for up to $34 off at Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart.


ICYMI, Nintendo announced last week that it’s remastering not one, not two, but three classic Mario games in celebration of the original Super Mario Bros.’ 35th anniversary. Available for a limited time starting Sept. 18, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection will bring 1996’s Super Mario 64, 2002’s Super Mario Sunshine, and 2007’s Super Mario Galaxy to the Switch console for the first time ever.

If you have yet to play some of Mario’s more recent titles, you’re in luck: Ahead of the release of 3D All-Stars, Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart are all running deals on some of the pint-sized plumber’s greatest Switch hits. Aside from Paper Mario: Origami King, which came out in mid-July, their sales feature all of the popular Mario games from recent years (including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) at discounts of $10 to $33.64. 

For those of you keeping up at home, the last time we saw this many Mario games go on sale simultaneously was on March 10, or Mario (“Mar10”) Day
