If the internet connection stops working due to any reason, you can do this work through *99#, a USSD-based mobile banking service. Through this, you can request, send money, change UPI PIN and even check account money without an internet connection.

Let us tell you that *99# service provides banking services for all across the country. It is offered by 83 banks and 4 telecom service providers and can be accessed in 13 languages ​​including Hindi and English. Here we are telling you how you can set it up and make offline UPI payments.

How to set up offline UPI payment

Dial 99# on your smartphone or feature phone. Keep in mind that you are using the same phone number that is linked to the bank account to make the call, otherwise this service will not work.

After that, you have to select the language of your choice and enter the name of the bank.

You will see a list of bank accounts that are linked to your number, so select the account you want to use by pressing the right option.

Now enter the last 6 digits of your debit card along with the last date.
Once you set it up properly you can make UPI payments without an internet connection.
Make offline UPI payment
Dial *99# on your phone and enter 1 to send money.
Select the option of your choice and enter the UPI ID / Phone number / Bank account number of the person you want to send the money to.
After that enter your money and your UPI PIN.
Once this is done, your payment will be completed and you will be charged a maximum of Rs 0.50 per transaction for using *99# service.
At present, the maximum limit of this service is Rs 5000 per transaction.
