NASA Mars orbiter spots ‘grinning Ed Asner’ in affect crater

Mars, house to many wonders, together with a crater that appears like Ed Asner.


I am an enormous fan of pareidolia, the human tendency to identify acquainted objects in random shapes. Mars is a wonderland for pareidolia, giving us items from a pebble that resembles a robot leg to alien-looking faces spotted in rock formations. The HiRise digital camera group for NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter is predicated on the College of Arizona. The HiRise Twitter account affords a pleasant feed of crimson planet photos, together with a tweet this week showing a well-preserved impact crater.
