Nintendo bought 735,000 Switches final month

Nintendo Switch gross sales aren’t slowing down. The Japanese firm bought greater than 735,000 Swap and Switch Lite models within the US in October, it revealed on Thursday, as beforehand reported by Nintendo Life. The hybrid console already beat the NES’ lifetime sales earlier this 12 months.

The Swap’s October 2020 gross sales are the “second-highest October gross sales of any online game console in historical past” within the US. The Wii stays on prime, with gross sales of 800,000 units in October 2008.

“Seeing encouraging gross sales development like this within the fourth October of Nintendo Swap proves to us that the system has many extra years and nice video games but to return,”  Nintendo of America boss Doug Bowser mentioned in an announcement accompanying the gross sales figures.

In complete, the Swap has bought 68.30 million models, making it Nintendo’s second most profitable console. The Wii nonetheless holds the crown, with 101.63 million models bought.
