Poco has clarified on the security issue of the recently launched Poco M2 Pro smartphone. Recently, the company had questioned the security of some YouTubers regarding the smartphone Poco M2 Pro. However, this problem is not just with Poco’s smartphone but with all the phones of Xiaomi. Actually, this problem is seen only in Xiaomi’s MIUI.

Although Poco has always been making claims about security, YouTubers have raised this fact a lot. Along with this, Halo app is also present in this smartphone, which has been banned by the government. The default security apps that come with preloaded utility features provide access to calendar, call logs, contacts, location and microphone. Along with this, there is also no option to review permission.

Questions raised about the security of Poco M2 Pro, the company clarified

What company bid on security of Poco M2 Pro

The brand has written an open letter on the issue. Poco wrote that we have received a complaint from Review Community about security and some pre-installed apps. We would like to point out that the units of these smartphones and its software were prepared in advance of the steps taken by the Government of India. Their production started before the government imposed ban.

However, Poco has said that no personal data will be shared to any user from any such apps which are banned. Additionally, the company has asked to release a new software update soon to fix these problems. The questions being raised about Poco’s smartphone on YouTubers and other social media is not the first case. Rather, all such phones of Xiaomi (which work on MIUI) are available with this type of access automatic.
