Tennis players will get more money next year, will get 18 billion rupees

Next year, player payouts on the ATP Tour and the lower-level ATP Challenger Tour have risen to a combined Rs 18 billion. This is the biggest single-season jump for the men’s tennis circuit.

More money is going to rain on tennis players from next year. Men’s tennis travel pay has been increased. Now in 2023, players will be paid more than 18 billion rupees.

Next year, player payouts on the ATP Tour and the lower-level ATP Challenger Tour will rise to a combined Rs 18 billion. This is the biggest single-season jump for the men’s tennis circuit.

On-site prize money on the ATP Tour will increase to $1.5 billion, fueled by an increase in the Masters 1000 tournaments in Madrid, Rome, and Shanghai from 8 to 12 days. The Masters 1000 in Canada and Cincinnati will expand to 12 days in 2025.

At the same time, ATP is increasing its 2023 bonus pool to about Rs 2 crore, which is 85 percent more than in 2022. The prize money for the ATP Challenger Tour has increased from Rs 98 crore to Rs 1.5 billion in the next season.

The ATP Tour said in June it was instituting a new profit-sharing formula that would see players get more money.
