IOS users: Robinhood announced on Wednesday that its self-custodial crypto wallet application is now available to all users of iOS. The wallet launched in September, in beta with 10,000 users. There are no fees for the exchange of polygon’s MATIC coins. The company launched the wallet in January and began rolling the wallet out to over 1 million customers who were on the waiting list.
The app initially launched solely using Polygon The company has now added the Ethereum blockchain as well as support for greater than fifty ERC tokens such as COMP, MATIC, SHIB, SOL, UNI, USDC, and many more.

“Users have told us that they would like access to more currencies across more chains, and that’s why we’ve jumped on the bandwagon and included support for Ethereum. Although we’re aware of it being an up and down time in the world of crypto we are determined to create Robinhood the most reliable affordable, least expensive, and most simple platform for crypto,” Johann Kerbrat is the chief executive officer of Robinhood Crypto stated in an article published on the Robinhood blog.
Its Robinhood Wallet also lets users keep their Polygon and NFTs that are based on Ethereum. Additionally, they have access to dApps such as Uniswap, Balancer, and Kyberswap. The company also stated that it does not charge any fees to network for Polygon.
The company that developed the fintech stated that to protect its user customers will need to create a Face ID/Touch ID unlock or create a custom PIN to gain access to the app at all times. In addition, like other self-custodial wallets such as MetaMask users will be required to create and keep the recovery phrase.
Robinhood announced it is accessible in more than 130 countries through the Apple App Store, and they are working to launch an Android version later this year.
